Project description

Camden was successful in funding for a national pathfinder to train a Health Visitor for a 12-month period initially to deliver immunisations to children under 5 who have failed traditional call/recall and at greatest risk of health inequalities. Camden has been the first borough to go live with initiative nationally.

In partnership with General Practice the neighbourhood based model involves assertive outreach to underserved groups, support embedding immunisation with routine health visits and evidence based action to address hesitancy.

The pathfinder with be evaluated by LSHTM and University of Bristol alongside other national pathfinders before a decision is made nationally on wider rollout.
